Also from me! There has been a great amount of sense of adventure to start the OR development!

Certainly, at least in my mind, you have been at the forefront in keeping Open Rails active and progressing. To that end, we owe you a debt of gratitude that is beyond any value that one would dare assess for your tireless efforts. I have tried to express that from time to time, but if there is any doubt Carlo, Molte Gracie (in english a million thanks). For all of us who get to enjoy your very hard work.

Buon Natale maestro,

Steve

Open Rails has truly been community built. I started it over 11 years ago but in time my interests changed and energy ran out. Since then we have had a progression of great developers step in to move the project along. I hope they all feel the thanks for their contributions.

I remember when ORTS was first made public. On my own route, trains ran over the landscape with no rails visble. Yet I was thrilled by the possibilities. I have not been disappointed : What progress has been made! Thanks to Wayne and all contributors.

In sharing my experiences in some of the threads here, I am feeling hopeful that others can see my migration from 3DCanvas to Blender to point out some pitfalls I've experienced so that they can be avoided. In every situation though, it was *ME* messing up and not the exporter. I'm willing to use Blender and the excellent exporter to do all future 3D work. My frustration with previous tools had me stopped cold a few years ago with a bunch of projects started... but far from finished.

Thanks to Wayne's support... my interest is renewed and revitalized. So, to sum it up... A big Thanks!

PS: I have an interest in learning to CODE Blender Python Add-ons (no promises) but I feel reasonably confident that the MSTS Train Wizard we had in 3DCANVAS is quite possible in Blender.
