I would like to thank publicly Wayne for creating the exporters for Blender. I would also like to thank him for extending support for the Blender exporter I was having trouble with. Except for a few odd things that 3DCanvas can do that seems that Blender cannot, I can now move along after almost 10 years. All thanks to Wayne's efforts.

It should be a lesson to us all that payware that is abandoned will always be a liability when the source code vanishes with it. In that vein, I thank the hard work of those who support the open source of Open Rails.

So, thank you Wayne,

Steve

Also from me! There has been a great amount of sense of adventure to start the OR development!

It wasn't easy getting comfortable with Blender but now that I have I believe it is the best. Without your exporter I probably never would have ventured into that world and the creation of more models than I can count. Priceless.

And me, Wayne. It has not gone unnoticed, although I can't recall that I've said anything before.

Wayne, even though I haven't crossed over to Blender, I feel it would be a good time to chime in with a BIG thank you for everything you've helped with in the past, and your other contributions, that have expanded this genre of simulations. You were a major factor in getting me into 3D modeling, something like 20 years ago. .

Everything said thus far is ABSOLUTELY true. Add my sincere thanks to all the others, Wayne.
(By the way I have been using OR since it was tWayne Simulator! Remember Capn Bazza?)

Certainly, at least in my mind, you have been at the forefront in keeping Open Rails active and progressing. To that end, we owe you a debt of gratitude that is beyond any value that one would dare assess for your tireless efforts. I have tried to express that from time to time, but if there is any doubt Carlo, Molte Gracie (in english a million thanks). For all of us who get to enjoy your very hard work.

Buon Natale maestro,

Steve

Open Rails has truly been community built. I started it over 11 years ago but in time my interests changed and energy ran out. Since then we have had a progression of great developers step in to move the project along. I hope they all feel the thanks for their contributions.

I remember when ORTS was first made public. On my own route, trains ran over the landscape with no rails visble. Yet I was thrilled by the possibilities. I have not been disappointed : What progress has been made! Thanks to Wayne and all contributors.
