I am experimenting empirically and self-taught, due to the complete absence of a sample file, on how to use the turntable in timetable mode. For this, I first learned the concept of the pool, of which there neither are no sample files that can be used in any route that is currently published. The "linia 202" route is not available, so, the paths and others files of this route is not useful for learning. I did can to make this pool file which, implemented to a timetable, worked perfectly:

;
#comment;BEGUERIE
#name;BEGUERIE
#storage;BEGUERIE-storage
#access;BEGUERIE-access

So I tried creating a file for turntable:

;
;#comment;BEGUERIEtt
#name;BEGUERIEtt
#worldfile;w-009830+010222.w
#uid;227
#storage;BEGUERIE-TT-storage
#access;BEGUERIE-TT-access

This second file works for me as a pool, but not as a turntable.

I did the following experiments, all unsuccessful:

  • I alternated the file name extension, between .turntable-or and .turntable_or.
  • I alternated the #worldfile line, between w-009830+010222.w, "w-009830+010222.w" and w-009830+010222.
  • I alternated between the command $pool and $turntable

Nothing work, a don't know why.

My version is 1.3.1.4328 and I can not update due Windows 7 OS don't admite latest dotNet.

EDIT: the Timetable:

After having done a dozen tests, it remains for me to ask: is the concept of the turntable in timetable implemented, is it in an experimental stage, is it under development, was it abandoned or was it discarded? I can't get it to work. I did understand the pool concept.

Are you sure that timetable turntable is already available in the stable version? Maybe it has been created later.
It's strange that your Win7 does not accept latest dotnet. Have you tried installing it? I have a Win7 32 bit and actual OR releases work without problems.

I am using version 1.3.1.4328. Turntable works successfully in Explore Mode.

I did not understand you. My apologies.

I have trouble updating windows addons for some years. The first problem arose when I wanted to upgrade from Musescore 2 to 3. In that case, I decided to stick with version 2. In Open Rails, yesterday I tried to install the latest test version, and I got the problem again, so I kept the version 1.3.1.4328.

Turntable works since many years.
Timetable turntable has been introduced significantly later.

Look here:
https://docs.microso...nd-dependencies
Even .Net Framework 4.8 works under Windows 7.
There might be a problem with your graphics card that prevents installation, but .Net Framework 4.7.2 should install. I believe to remember that you must have Windows 7 SP1 installed.

My processor is AMD A10-5800K APU with Radeon HD Graphics 3.80 GHz. I have 8 GB of RAM. My video card is NVIDIA GeForce 210. Windows 7 Enterprise 64-bits.

I tried again to install "dotNET 5.0 SDK (v5.0.100) - Windows x64" from the link you gave me. That link offered two other things that, for now, I ignored: "dotNET Core 3.1" and "dotNET Framework 4.8".

"dotNET 5.0 SDK (v5.0.100) - Windows x64" installed successfully. But when I wanted to run ORTS, test version of November 27, 2020, it demanded me "dotNET Framework, Version 4.7.2".

Attached Image: error 1.jpg

When I accepted the download, the site offered me "dotNET Framework 4.8".

I downloaded it and tried to install it, but I got the error "Crash problems: This operating system does not support dotNET Framework 4.8".

Attached Image: error 2.jpg

So I googled ".NET Framework 4.7.2" and went to https://support.micr...ler-for-windows where did I downloaded http://go.microsoft..../?linkid=863265 (NDP472-KB405453-x86-x64-AllOS-ENU.exe) "4.7.3081.0", July 10, 2018.

I tried to install it, but the error was the same: "Crash issues: This OS does not support .NET Framework 4.7.2." (Differences in terms due to my translation problems.)

Attached Image: error 3.jpg

Do you recommend that I try to install either of the other two initial things?

Is this required for to work turntable in timetable mode in version 1.3.1.4328, or is it to be able to install a newer version of Open Rails?

Do you have Windows 7 Service Pack 1 installed? You can check that on the system page within the Control Panel.
In the link above it is written:
En Windows 7 Service Pack 1 (SP1) y Windows Server 2008 R2 SP1, .NET Framework 4.7.2 aparece como un producto instalado en el elemento Programas y características del Panel de control.
So you need to have that Service Pack.

By the way you don't need to installa SDKs.
