This is wonderful news! I had exactly the same idea but never thought about suggesting it here. I will try to make wipers for Evolution Series locomotives and add them to my cabs. Thank you very much, guys!

Hi Paolo,

Many thanks for this working windscreen wiper. My only problem is that I don't have a suitable animated wiper to use. Is there any chance that you could provide one or tell me where I can get one?

Thanks in advance,

Stephen

Hi! I haven't got a suitable animation because every locos have specific one. I suggest to use Photoshop to recreate some frames, minimun 9 to have a fluid animation.

I even seen the shape like wiper.s within some of default locos - don't remember, was it acela, hhp or dash9...
Thought at that time: well, they (Kuju) planned, but not done.

Can it use a sound trigger also?

You can use the sound triggers 6 (WiperOn) and 7 (WiperOff).

I have a quuestion about the ORTS_2DEXTERNALWIPERS MULTI_STATE_DISPLAY". I recently created a diesel locomotive (MSTS_Open Rails) which has a cab with dual driver positions. Having learned about the possibility of hsving animated windscreen wipers visible from inside the cab I set about adding that feature to my locomotive and it worked like a charm. Unfortunately, I hav'nt been able to activate this feature in the "reverse cab mode. I have included the approapriate ORTS_2DEXTERNALWIPERS MULTI_STATE_DISPLAY entry into the rv.cvf (reverse cabview file) but the wiper just doesn'nt appear let alone animate. I'm using "Open Rails New Year ORNYMG-rev.140.4". So, my question is... Am I doing something wrong or is it just not possible to use this feature in the reverse cab mode? Looking forward to your reply. Regards - Robert Wouters. riero24@hotmail.com

Welcome, Robert.
There was a thread somewhere, discussing the same issue (what indicates, that's not Your fault), but I can't remember details just now.

Hi Weter, thank you for your reply. I'll just have to use a compuer scrren cleaning cloth instead of a virtual windscreen wiper, ha, ha. Regards - Rob.
