As a second scenario for Manual Braking I have created a demonstration route based upon a timber tramway.

This route has a number of interesting features, and the route has been developed for the following purposes:

i) To test rolling stock in regards to their performance on steeper than normal gradients. - this applies in particular for geared locomotives as the route has gradients of up 14.4% ( 1 in 7 )

ii) To demonstrate the difference in operation between coal and wood fired locomotives. - logging locomotives often used wood fuel, this route has both a steam and coal fired version to explore the difference in performance

iii) To see how manual braking is used and set up in Open Rails. - logging railways often did not have air brakes, and in this scenario the cars have individual brakemen, whilst the locomotive has a steam brake.

This route can be installed as a stand alone mini route.

Please provide any appropriate feedback.

Thanks

What activity were you running?

Can you attach a screen shot of you trying to start, and also the log file.

Thanks

Firstly it appears that you are running the last stable version. There have been many changes to the OR program since then, and some of them will impact upon the operation of the train.

Can I suggest that you upgrade to the latest Unstable version, and then try rerunning the activity again.

If you want to keep the stable version on your machine, set up the unstable version in a different folder.

Sorry, you mean "unstable version" of OR or other thing?
I read again and you obviously refer to OR, sorry, my mistake
