If you convert 2655.8kW to hp online, you get 3,561hp. This is what Bob used for the SD70M. In the game, the F5 info is showing the kW to be 100hp(First hp column) less and this is at N8. Is this just the info that is off or is it possible the internal calculations are a little off?

Edit: The locomotive file is using the following.

ORTSDieselEngineMaxPower ( 2983kW )
ORTSSpeedOfMaxContinuousForce(12mph)
MaxPower ( 2655.8kW )

That's about 11% . Is that the loss between engine and rails . That's not bad for engine power to drive wheel power , considering diesel to generator to electric motor conversions .

The MaxPower value is the actual hp to rails which should be 3,561hp since the gross hp is 4000hp. If I am running at N8 then I should be close to the MaxPower() value. A loss of 100hpx3 or more locomotives could make for a weak train if there is a calculation error.

Although the OR should be able to convert units without problems, I do not leave it to chance.
I prefer to use all metric units or all imperial units in the settings. I don't mix it. It is also good for the correct display of parameters in the HUD.

When it comes to horsepower I've seen two diferent sistems being used a metric horsepower and a UK (imperial) horsepower.

I use https://www.unitconv...-converter.html to make some conversions, and you can get the convertion factor there if you would like to use your own spreadsheet or something.
