Is this a rounding error? Whenever I run into "bad" track, I go to the location I will find this. The TDB line is connected, but the yellow section line is off (just a bit). The tracks do appear to connect just fine.

I have occasionally found these and wound up 'maually' fixing them - skewing the piece and re-entering it into the .tdb, then skewing it back while still entered to visually match. I won't recommend that. Longer pieces seem to be most prone to this problem, probably because you need a long piece to actually see it. I don't know what the cause is, but a rounding error makes the most sense at first glance.

I recommend posting this to the official TSRE forum if you haven't already:

ALWAYS lay track going away from the first ever track set down, even with any sidings or yards.

But there is another possibility... there are circumstances where TSRE loses the correct placement elevation. Are the other ends on both tracks where they should be?

I've run into this with dynamic track once or twice. Selecting the errant piece and tapping Z twice (Once to remove it from the TDB, The second time to put it back in) seems to sort it out.
Granted, I'm a bit of a novice at these things but it seems to work.

It's been discussed at length here: http://www.elvastowe...nment-problems/

I had many alignment problems ofg this sort while doing my TSRE schooling on the PRR-East route. The previous post #4 is how I fixed most of them. Sometimes I had to delete and replace the track section,

The important thing to come out of my TSRE education was to always set the Auto-Add to TDB to OFF when editing or installing track.
The toggle for Auto/Manual TDB add is the [Ctrl] + [Q] keys.

In default TSRE adds a track section to the TDB when it is placed and then de-selected either manually or by adding another track section.

There is NO indication as to which mode you are in other than performing a simple test which I do before any editing:

Place a test track section away from all other track in the route and then de-select it.
There are two possible outcomes:
1. If a Yellow line appears you are in Auto-Add to TDB mode.
2. No Yellow line you are in Manual-Add to TDB mode.
Using the [Ctrl] + [Q] at this time will toggle the TDB mode.
Delete the test track section (which removes the track from the TDB).

Regards,vince

I do follow a procedure to lay track:

1) Lay the track
2) Grade the track
3) Terrain the track
4) Test run a train over the track

move onto the next section.

These errors seem to be coming in after the fact on tracks laid/tested years ago.

I did fix this error by deselecting the track sections and used the MSTS RE to select the tracks and save the TDB. Back in TSRE the lines are fine again. :)

Okay if 1,2,3 are done WITHOUT the yellow lines showing.
If ANY yellow lines are present when you do 2 & 3 you will corrupt the TDB exactly as shown in your screen grab.
I had many on the PRR . . . all corrected with TSRE as the MSRE won't load the PRR.

An easier way from within TSRE itself is to remove all the track sections frm the TDB by highlighting them and pressing Z, then save to TDB, and then click each one to re-add it to the TDB

The track will now be aligned

Is there a way to grab many shapes or are we stuck with selecting them one by one?

You know I had this same issue before and it seemed that implementing a "click & drag" selection option was feasible, but nothing was implemented as it was a one off request.

If the code is really available on public domain now I might consider having a look into it to implement one or 2 things that I would like to see
