It is nice to see that somebody got around to doing a reasonably deep ballast under the track. I cringe every time I see xtraks shapes in a route.

I made deep ballast shapes for Scalerail, typically 5 shapes per track shape (both sides, left side, right side, extended from teh right, and extended ffrom the left), so that's a couple of thousand shapes. Then I redid them entirely. Repeat three more times. I figure I've made 10,000 shapes to slide under Scalerail tracl., not counting several thousand more than are skinned differently or follow a different profile (e.g., industrial track). So maybe 15,000 shapes total. While they go fast becuase they're often just extrusions for length I have to say I REALLY don't want to do them over again. :scarerun:

I don't know which version this is, probably the current one:

15,000 shapes? THAT is dedication to your art, sir Dave!

Thank you, this looks like real fun in the garden. Recently I fell in love with standard gauge again. Some screenshots from the CSX Hanover Subdivision:

Hello,

These are great screenshots of an amazing looking route, the painted terrain and landforms really set it apart from what commonplace in OR currently. Coming from someone who has lived in that location, it is extremely well done.

My only question is - what's up with the railroad name? Does BNSF not want anyone selling products with the correct "Colorado & Southern" on it? Or is the name meant to be fictional? I'm asking because I am considering building a new model of C&S #9 for Open Rails, and I don't want to tangle with trademarks.

Peter
