Some odd things I noted today, just profile page stuff:
1. Was looking at my profile, and it said I was offline??? err, I had to be online to look at it???
2. Said my last contribution was in 2017...but I'm a first class member...meaning (I thought) I have a membership that is on auto renew and thus (again, me thinking) I was a contributing member. Maybe there is some other criteria for 'contributing member', but I thought it was just being a "paid subscriber", or whatever you might call it. Maybe your think I'm cheap (OK...my wife thinks that too) and should contribute more than the annual support, but I'm confused. Wife supports my confused claim also...
3. MAKE THE DAMN FONT BIGGER IN THE THREAD SUBMISSION BOX! I'M TOO DAMN OLD TO SEE THE SMALL STUFF CURRENTLY THERE. Unless I put my eyes 5 inches from the screen...
4. I too dislike change for the sake of, BUT I support keeping the existing site working as expected.

Thanks,

Rich

Rich, are you in the wrong pew? You appear to be posting about ET membership in the OpenRails.Org thread. I believe you can change you font size to suit yourself. Have to query Dave about the offline/online question.

@SetiRich
  • There is a checkbox for anonymous log-in within log-in form page, so, when it checked, the member's name is not displayed at "Who's online" list.
  • Dave wrote something about contribution-data update work recently this autumn, so...
  • Yes, this thread is dedicated to openrails.org website enhancement, not ET.

The dialogue, appeared when clicking "Download testing version" link, that advise, where can content for playing be donloaded is very helpful-thanks.

The translation for Learn/physics page was added to the end of post#9

Hi.

Rather than change the design, I suppose that the site would lack a little more download material that serves as an example for the new technologies that are being developed in the simulator. For example, scripts for the CallOn, timetable sheets, etc.

From my strictly personal point of view, I don't like it when a page radically changes its design. I still miss the old version of Facebook.

Cheers.

For the first words, I would mention the CTN site, and at "physic" page there are a lot links to there; but about scripts, timetables, etc. I completely agree.
Furthermore, this kind of material looks like no CTN-specific.

Added translations for new pages: Modelling, Activities, Gallery.
Other translations revised and completed.

Now, drop-down menus (Discover, download, learn, etc) are behind current pages text, so lower strings can't be accessed.

Must be something local...not seeing that when I opened the site moments ago. Everything working as expected.

Hi Weter,

Nothing has changed recently, so I'm wondering what you are seeing.

For me, it looks like this:

Can you post a screenshot showing the problem please?
