Is it possible to use the #dispose command $stable if the arriving train has to reverse before moving to its $stable position? (e.g. at dead-end stations)
I have tried without reverse point as well with reverse points in the train's path or in the stable_out path. But no effect. The arriving train disappear after its arrival at the final station.
I already succeeded in using $stable for trains that has not to reverse. So maybe it is impossible what I intend to do?

Reverse points works in Timetable mode.
Maybe the train disapears by some other reason. Out of path, for example. Check the log file for warnings with the service name.
If so, you can form a new train at the final stop. The path of the formed train will have in this case an opposite direction.

I believe some commands do not work after a reversal ,ie subpath greater than 1. I have had no success with commands like $stable, $wait $noclaim $hold after a reversal. This isn`t a definitive statement, and quite possibly I didn`t set the commands up properly. However, in a conversation Rob once suggested that multiple sub paths (reversals) were to be avoided for some commands ( I hope he will not mind me saying this)
Oleg`s suggestion of skipping the reversal by forming a new train pointing in a new direction seems a good plan.

Indeed this is a very good plan. Besides it requires that I have to add two additional trains: one for the out_path and another for the in_path. I tried it and the result is good. :sign_thanks:

I accidentally suceeded to $stable a train in reverse direction when I developed a timetable on another route. I was no more aware of what was said above, but I just created the out_path contrary to the direction of the train. No reverse points are involved.
When the arriving train has finished its station stop, it moves backwards to the $stable location and waits there until it will move out to the platform to begin the retour service.
