Hi all, this is my first post in elvastower, I am happy to be here.
I'm actually working with some loco cabs to add freeware more realistic functions. I also add the SCMT - RSC train control system by Carlosanit.
The loco I am working right now are: The E444R and the E402B, these loco is used for Intercity sercives (E444R was recently dismissed)

I would like to improve 3 things:

1) Brake controller

I read the manual but I am not figuring out how to do it: The script controls the rotation of the needle of general air reservoir at various percentuage, someone can tell me how to do it properly?

2) Integrated SCMT in ETCS Monitor

One unit of E402B loco recently received an update. The buttons of the SCMT was gone and moved on a touch screen in a different manner, so here I cannot use the Carlosanit script and I need to create some line of code by myself... next signal aspect, green, yellow and red ( red needs to blinker constantly ) and I would like to add an ON OFF button that controls the "MANEUVERING" Function... Once is on the button on the digital display change color and max speed will be Max 30Km/h without next signal aspect function enabled with the ability to cross red lights without penality.
Here it is the cab in the real loco: https://www.youtube....h?v=NzzN8jd59-Y

3) Pantograph outside view animation

Some locos have a very slow animation and it's not realistic. There is a parameter that change the speed of pantograph going up and down?

Thanks very much, hope someone will help :sign_thanks:

Hi and welcome.

To answer your questions.

1) Check the CVF for the cab to get the ScaleRange () values. Note that if OR does not find a CVF file in the CABVIEW3D folder, it will use the CVF in the CABVIEW folder.

On my cab the MAIN_RES DIAL gauge was, ScaleRange (0 160)

In the 3D cab I had a texture of the real world gauge face obtained from the internet. Rotate needle to indicate 0 PSI on gauge texture and set key frame0, rotate needle to indicate 80PSI and set key frame1, rotate needle to indicate160PSI and set key frame2.

Export and test. You may need to tweak the the key frame rotations slightly to improve alignment of needle to gauge texture.

2) I don't know.

3) In general, more frames = slower animation speed.

3) See paragraph 8.3.1. of the OR manual.

Hi and welcome to Elvas Tower!

Do you know about any good downloads for Italian steam locomotives as well?

Oh, and BTW, do you care to share your name?

Matt

Thank you! I know only about electric, but there is a very good site focused on old style italian trains... : www.ildeposito.net
