Running activities on 2% or slightly higher grades, no problems, save activity and then resume...OR resumes in pause mode ( MG Rev59 ) and coupler is immediately reported as broken...cannot start activity. This log entry: Information: Coupler on CarID 32768 - 91 has broken due to excessive static coupler force 1995274...etc
It's probably me...is there something wrong with this coupler? (Rogers Pass --- Rogers Pushers activity ( activity comes with route ) )9400t wagon mass (75 wag) --- 1705.5t Loco mass (6 AC4400CW - 2 lead, 4 pushing ) 2.4% grade.

Hi Gerry,

Its a bug in OR,
It will be VERY difficult to find.

We can only adjust around it.

Can you try this in the latest unstable version, and advise outcome?

If the issue is present in the unstable version, can you then try it with the Norfolk Southern set from my site, and advise outcome?

Thanks

I've not downloaded the unstable version for a while ( using MG )
Is it found here >>> http://james-ross.co...jects/or/builds
or here >>> http://openrails.org/download/program/ ( current "testing" version ) --- I've forgotten.

The unstables are found at James' site, IE the first link in the above quote.
The testing releases are what used to be the weekly (FRI night) build years ago http://www.elvastower.com/forums/public/style_emoticons/default/victory.gif

Found NS loco and downloaded...do you want me to test using consists provided on Rogers Pass route, or test route? Add enough test power and wagons to test consists to duplicate activity I was running?

Perhaps two tests as follows:

i) Can you do an explore route run with your consist, and do save/restore at same point in the activity to see how you get on.

ii) From memory there is a 9440 ton consist in the NS pack, so I am hoping that you can do the same test as above in i) with it.

I am trying to get to a point where we can reproduce the issue with a consist that I can use, and thus make it easier to debug the problem.

Thanks
