MSTS/OR Canadian National SW1200RSs
In 1958 Canadian National received two groups of SW1200RSs from GMDD London totaling 49 units in the GR-12l and r classes. This set represents six of those units from the 1960s to the 90s.

My Bad! Just found out this morning the new SWs do not open in MSTS and are now Open Rails ONLY.
When I was building them I started with a unit that ran in MSTS, modified it and had no trouble with it. After getting all six built at the last minute I changed the cab view to a nicer Chuck Schneider cab, never thought that would cause a problem so I ran the units in OR but not MSTS.

????????????????
The ReadMe.txt in the Cabview folder says the cabview is the creation of Charlie Sibaja.
And the cabview files predate ORTS. How can the Cabview prohibit this model from running in MSTS when they were ritten for MSTS?
MSTS errors with can't add CN1290 to world. Does not sound like a Cabview problem.
Opening the ENG with ShapeViewer displays .
Testing the ENG with ConBuilder only produces this Sound error:

I thought it was a Charlie Sibaja cab, not sure where I got Chuck Schnider's name from... long days will do that I guess.
I have the SOUND folder open for the units, I see the SW1200eng and SW1200cab sms files but I also see two files that TS Modeler (I guess) generated names CN_1290eng.sms and CN1290wag.sms. Could MSTS be reading these first (alphabetical order) and see they are sms files and stop looking for any others and that's what caused the error? I'm going to delete them and see if the units will open in MSTS.

I see the problem, I need to remove the path that was included in the original sms file seeing as I have the wav files right in the folder that contains the rest of the files.

Error Message - Can't Add Car (uid:######n) to world
This is usually caused by
- an error within the model - polycount, corrupt compression, texture error if reskinning, etc;
- removal of a shape file from its MSTS folder after the consist has been created - various registry cleaners and anti-virus programs have been implicated in this removal; finally
- editing a loose consist which may make it too long and one or more vehicles becomes positioned off-track.
First bullet is the only one that applies.

I'm slowly moving to not caring so much if something doesn't work in MSTS but does in OR... must be old age setting in!

I've uploaded a set of new shape files to the library. Turned out the problem with the CN SW1200RSs not opening in MSTS was the FreightAnim files were a bit bigger than MSTS could handle. I moved a few shapes back to the main file and that solved the problem.
