Thanks to all of those who replied to my cry for HELP!
Those of you who are using Win 7 (myself included) might experience FPS loss due to Nvidia Driver / d3dcompiler_47.dll issues. For those who are using the latest Nvidia drivers and do not seem to have complaints about FPS you are most likely OK. I cannot speak for Win 10 users, nor will I want to or be able to anytime soon.
In my setup I had to "update" d3dcompiler_47.dll through non-traditional means as Microsoft does not seem to have a link for updated 32/64 bit versions of d3dcompiler_47.dll.
Once again, thanks for all of your contributions and help,
Steve

I am not using the same driver set, but the d3dcompiler_47.dll versions are the same for me. Do you see any difference in FPS if you are using 32 or 64 mode of runactivity?
Thanks,
Steve

Monogame Revision: U2020.02.19-0151 Rev. 54.1
1. 32bit -- 88fps
2. 64bit -- 55fps
However, I'm using ReShade ---so I removed all the Reshade components and ran the test on 64 bit again.
86fps --- so it appears that ReShade is causing the drop in fps....any observations from you would be welcome.

Gerry,
Are you running with Dynamic shadows ENABLED in both cases? I am.
Thanks,
Steve

Dynamic shadows not enabled...I had previously noticed a drop in fps with dynamic shadows enabled. I like the feature, but have to balance it with cost of fps on some routes.
...aside-- I have often posted about "route" specific options instead of the global options now used. Certainly the "OpenRails" folder is used for some route "options" ( tree clearing, trk file mods and such...nothing has been implemented for options like dynamic shadows for a specific route, or superelevation...those are still global afaik.
