Starting with the above build the power in notch 4 (in the HUD and on the rails) is only half what is should be.

U2020.02.08-0151 2020-02-08 01-58-12 is ok

Can you provide more information, and perhaps a ENG file?

From what perspective? Different routes can serve different purposes, depending upon you want to achieve with OR.

Can you also provide the LOG file with verbose messaging option selected? EDIT: Sorry just found this in the zip file. I can't see anything obviously wrong.

Can you describe the situation that you are experiencing more fully? And how to replicate it?

Thanks

Hi Steamer_ctn,
I notice a loss of power in all diesel locomotives. The first 4 from 8 notches of power give very little traction. It was okay with the MG OR 53. Other later versions have this problem.

2 pictures of the HUD, one good and one bad. (versions as well)

The activity was just started in notch 4, nothing else done.

If you would like a specific activity and route run, let me know?

I can confirm this power loss -- screenshots of three different versions of OR, one has much lower power at the rail... U2020.02.02-406 ( in the title of the thread )
Identical, route/activity/equipment profile in each screenshot.

Firstly are you using the latest unstable version?

Secondly from the videos, I get the following information (not very clear for somebody with my old eyesight and screen resolution):

Stable Version - Throttle 75%, Force = 125.8 kN @ 972 RpM

Unstable Version - Throttle 75%, Force = 174.7 kN @ 972 RpM

Is this correct? Is this the issue that you have?

Can you give me a link to the specifications of the real locomotive, and can you also post the ENG file?

Thanks

What loco type is this, and can you send me the ENG file?

I have downloaded the current unstable version. It's much better. I mean mainly low traction power at low power levels. Does the algorithm work with ORTSTractionCharacteristics? It is this function that gives us exactly where the traction force is to be used.

The locomotive from the example is T466.2 or the ČD 742 series. Eng is attached.

Edit: Here the characteristics...
