Yes, it returns what you are supposing.

Darwin, sorry, but I am full of things to do for OR and I don't have the time for that too. And anyhow that would require also an intervention in the braking software, where I have few knowledge.

Thanks Carlo,
I am hoping that Peter will be able to make any changes proposed to the braking code. If he is willing to do that, I hope it will not be too difficult to edit the script file to include the change.

In addition to the OR NewYear MG release, the TCS AWS script is now supported also by the official Unstable release U2020.04.26-1006.

Hi Carlo, pls what kind of keyboard shortcut turns the IsTrainControlEnabled function on / off? I would like to manually activate TCS in the locomotive at start.

Such a shortcut doesn't exist up to now, but it has been requested also by other people, so I foresee to introduce it. In reality I foresee to introduce a couple of generic keyboard/mouse commands, that can be used for any function within the script, and that can alternatively be used outside of a script to start/stop a sound and an animation.

In addition to OR NewYear MG, the AWS script now works correctly also on the official Testing and Unstable releases.

Hi Carlo

Cédric says that in order to work with TCS scripts that

ORTSDoesVacuumBrakeCutPower ( 1 )
ORTSBrakeCutsPowerAtBrakePipePressure ( 12.5inHg )
ORTSBrakeRestoresPowerAtBrakePipePressure ( 16inHg )

That must now be included in the TCS script (as it no longer works in the eng file if TCS scripts are enabled).

See Does Vacuum Brake Cut Power discussion.

I am only good at writing eng files I have not yet learned how to write scripts.

Is it possible that you could please add this to the TCS script so that it will work with locos that have this in the eng file? - it should work with diesel and electric locos but not with steam!
Also it seems that

DoesBrakeCutPower ( 1 )
ORTSBrakeCutsPowerAtBrakePipePressure ( 46psi )
ORTSBrakeRestoresPowerAtBrakePipePressure ( 60psi )

Should work if it is included in the TCS script.
If you could be so kind as to update the scripts to include these changes, then I will be able to upload an updated version to UKTS so that trains work as they should in the current versions of OR.

Hi Darwin,
I have just posted in the Maybe it's a bug thread what I think about what is occurring.
If Cédric's changes will remain (which I'm not sure is the best solution), what I can do is to copy within the script what Cédric nas now inserted in the default TCS script.
I think however that the modified script should be made available only once Cédric's changes have been inserted in the Testing release, because else this new version of the script would probably not load with the actual testing releases. And also in such case, people that prefer using the stable release would get problems (again probably the new AWS script would not load).
So I am first waiting for a reply by Cédric about this issue. Maybe my technical assumptions are wrong.

Cedric has now made available a version of the AWS script for use with unstable versions released since November 2021
Available here

Hello,

Are there people that use the AWS TCS on last NYNoWD versions & ORTS v1.5.1 ?

Becauze if i drive on it with AWS TCS, i get strange things:

* No emergencybraking
* Alertersound run continious if train depart and no reset on reset button or TCS keys.

Greetz,

I have tested the test activity TestAWS1 with ORNYMG 145, and everything works as intended.
