Hello all,
Have been trying to add new routes and trains to my open rails but cant seem to get it working. So far i have installed the train zip, extracted it into the 'trainset' folder inside 'trains' but nothing seems to happen, when i try to find it in game it doesn't appear under locomotives.
I'm not sure if i have to add extra folders as such or anything.
Please help
Thx in advance

Do you have the proper folder structure? There are numerous forum posts here that deal with using OpenRails, the needed folder structure, and using your MSTS content. Do a search of the site.
The manual also covers the entire topic.
This is one such post:

Not sure of your expertise, but for rollingstock to show up, they have to be in an consist and there has to be an acticity uding that consist.
Does any of your content run?

In order to drive a locomotive in OR, that locomotive has to be the lead unit in a 'consist'.
That consist does not need to be in an activity if you only want to drive the locomotive/train in 'Explore' mode.
The TSRE program has a Consist Editor and it can be downloaded from http://koniec.org/tsre5/
The TSRE5_Manual.pdf has instructions on how to create and edit consists.
If you are comfortable editing text files, you can also copy and edit the consist files located in the CONSIST folder with a text editor.

Yes I've got a few running trains and routes but when I downloaded them they were in a complete folder and I had to do was to put them under the correct folder in open rails content (trains, global, routes...).But the new ones i want to download and play with are a single rwp file.

Uhm, rwp files are not for Open Rails, they are for the Train Simulator series by DoveTail Games which uses completely different files that won't work with Open Rails ;).
