Should probably have stopped for water at Needleton. This was the common practice since it was the last water tank on the way and that gave water to make it to and from Silverton and have enough water in case any delays happened on the north end of the branch. They would also normally take water at Needleton on the way back as well which would take them all the way home. :bigboss:

At Elk Park, the car of tie plates is set out.
1 pole south of MP 494 the 1384 (a high side gondola carrying lumber) derails, & tool cars are needed to re rail the car.
Soon, the headend of the train pulls into Silverton at 2:10 PM. 10 minutes later, the crew went on release, & the 459 departed Durango at 3:25 PM with Tool cars.

It's now November 25. The car was re-railed at 3:45 AM, & the 459, with the rear end of the Silverton & tool cars went to Silverton, & the 459 (& tool cars went to Durango. The crew of the Silverton (now Extra 471) went back on duty at 4:40 AM, & performed 1 hour 30 minutes switching. The train left Silverton at 6:10 AM with 8 loads, 1 empty.
Loads: 7 ore & combine 202
The empty is the caboose.
The train soon rolls over the bridge at Elk Park.
