This is for posting screen shots from your private routes, those you may have built for your own pleasure, or mods of existing routes that you can't release for proprietary reasons. Like Model Railroader magazine's Trackside Photos feature, showing scenes from layouts belonging to readers.
This is a route I started, I think, in 2004, as a traction layout. This is a clone of that having been revamped some years back as a "typical" Pacific Northwest branch line where the NP, GN, SP, SP&S roam. Not complete by any means, it serves as a long diorama and testing bench, basically a long "bookshelf" layout ;). (Like all my layouts)..
The quiet of a small town on a foggy Saturday morning is about to be challenged.

Those main street businesses you made are still a favorite. I have some 'part built' projects under way that would fit into this thread. Hopefully I will get enough done to post soon.
Good idea this thread.

Once upon a time I started a private route project, a single tile 2ft gauge point-to-point line, it's called the Buttercup & Stony Creek RR and is operated as a private backyard line by its owner who not only salvaged the little industrial steam engine, but also built all the current rolling stock. Unfortunately these pics don't show the current state of the route and I never ended up finishing this project... maybe one day!!!
The 2-footer 0-4-0T 'Dolly' crossing Stony Creek bridge with a piece of the lines passenger stock.
The "House end" located at where would be the owners house, microscopic depot and junk collection. BBQ parties would been held here for the owners guests and friends.
The custom-built engine house built for 'Dolly' and the diesel-mechanic unit.

Great shots once again, Tim! I'm so glad you like that little coffeepot, it's quickly growing to be one of my best works.
Yes, the washboard road was laid straight on the ground with no earthworks, literally winding around trees and rocks! I highly discourage those suffering from motion sickness to ride on it! :ko2:

Great shots everyone. I am going to post a series of shots on a modified version of Paul Charland's Conn. Valley route.
We start up north at White River Jct. There we catch a early morning freight coming into the south yard from the line to Concord. There the crew will end their day and head to the local railroad Y for a nap and rest period before taking a freight east that evening after their mandated rest period.
