After 1 hour switching & meeting the eastbound San Juan, the train gets underway.
Soon, the train pulls into Lumberton for switching.
As part of the switching, the crew has to bring cars of coal from the Miller Mine; as the crew were reversing, the tender of the 484 derails due to soft track. The crew went to Dulce & they request the Durango wrecker (pulled by K-36 #485), which arrived at the derailment site at 11:45 PM

It's now May 12, & the tender is back on the rails. The loads were pulled over the soft track using the tool cars. 130 ties were broken. The Dulce turn finally leaves Lumberton. About the wrecker, it left Lumberton at 10:30 AM & pulls into Durango at 3:30 PM.
Soon, the 484 & it's train pulls into Dulce at 9:45 AM.
