Starting with u2019.09.24 no force or horsepower in dynamics in the HUD.

u2019.09.20-2206 is ok.

Can you please confirm that the latest version has the same issues?

If this the case, can you please supply the logfile, and the relevant locomotive details.

Thanks

Thanks for that.

I am away for the weekend, so will have a look when I get home.

Ok, I have had a quick look at it, and it has been created by the separation of forces (MotiveForce and DynamicBrakeForce).

The DynamicBrakeForce is still working, however it is now grouped with other braking forces (see Forces HUD).

Now comes a semantic question. It is a negative or braking force, so should it be included in the locomotive HUD as it was previously?

My personal thoughts are that it shouldn't, however I am happy to reinstate it if the feeling is that it should be present as a negative force in the locomotive HUD.

WDYT?

Thanks

Hi Peter,

I like to see how much dynamics are working, and I am sure others would too.
It all goes together to know what your train is doing.

I like the idea of it in the HUD. Ease to relate to your engine behavior.

The same functionality in the locomotive HUD has now been restored with the latest unstable version - post 14/10/2019.

The Locomotive HUD will now show +ve power and force for motive force, and -ve power and force for dynamic braking power.

May I very politely suggest that you consult your users before making changes like this. It saves your valuable time by not doing anything until you find that either nobody cares!(go ahead and make that change) or you have found out that indeed it does affect users who depend on certain things NOT changing.

New, and additional features are always welcome, changes due to ones personal preferences may not be as welcomed, especially if users are not consulted about them. :sign_thanks:

Thanks,
Steve
