Truth be told, I suspect maybe it might be some kind of Windows issue. I am using Windows 10 if that might provide some clues.

Win 10 with all updates works as expected here.
My machine gets rebooted every day.

I don't like computer sleep or hybrid sleep.

In my previous life we rebooted windows servers every week.
Unix and Linux boxes got rebooted when they needed it.

Things work fine here. W10 64 bit version 2004 build 19041.1237 on old ASUS notebook.
