I have several installations of MSTS on my main system to host various genres,. One has just French routes. OR wont show that director, it only shows the main one i use mostly
is there a way or do i have to make a new install of OR?
thanks for help on this, i looked around the set up system and didnt see anyway to change the hosted MSTS folder sourced by OR.

Hi Chris,
You can have as many installations in Open Rails as you like - I've got 23, which is a mixture of MSTS and OR-only installations!!
To add to new installation, press <Options> on the Open Rails initial screen, then the Content tab; click <Add> then navigate to the root folder of the installation you wish to add. Give it a unique/appropriate name then press <OK>. Your new installation will now appear in the list of profiles.
Hope this helps,
Cheers,
Ged

Chris, if all you need is a way to organize routes per some criteria, such as country or era, and there is no need for KUJU edit tools, then you can set up as many OR only folders as you need. They all look like this:
\whatever root folder name you want
Those 4 sub-directories should contain exactly the same sorts of files as you would find in any MSTS installation. Use the content tab in OR to point to each one.
For myself, I have these \root folder names:
"Open Rails - Canada"
"Open Rails - US East 1930-1952"
"Open Rails - US East 1953-1965"
"Open Rails - US East 1966-1980"
"Open Rails - US Midwest 1930-1952"
"Open Rails - US Midwest 1953-1965"
"Open Rails - US Midwest 1966-1980"
"Open Rails - US South 1930-1952"
"Open Rails - US West 1930-1952"
"Open Rails - US West 1953-1965"
"Open Rails - US West 1966-1980"
"Open Rails - US West 1981-Present"
That lets me populate the \trains directory tree with equipment specific to one era and as needed, one geography.
YMMV.
\whatever root folder name you want
\Global
\Routes
\Sound
\Trains
