After the helper is coupled with the train again, it continues climbing the 4% grade.

... it passes the tank at Cresco...





... & rolls over the crossing at Coxo.

The train rolls over the fill beyond the Coxo siding...







... & pulls into Cumbres at 8:25 AM.

After picking up cars from the previous day, & cutting out the helper, & inspection, the 485 departs Cumbres at 8:40 AM with 34 loads 12 empties.



The train rounds Tanglefoot Curve...





... passes the tank at Los Pinos...



... & rolls over the Rio De Los Pinos Rive.

As the train heads east...





... it rolls over Cascade Creek Trestle...



... & rolls into the siding at Osier to meet a train.

After 15 minutes, the San Juan passes X485 east.



After leaving Osier, the freight gets underway.



The train rolls through Rock Tunnel.

... & picks up a water car at Sublette.

... it stops at Big Horn to fill a cistern.



After that the train continues the eastbound trip.





The train passes the tank at Lava.

As the train nears Antonito, it rolls over Fuegenson's Trestle.





After rolling downhill, the train pulls into Antonito to do a pickup.
