Hi! I recently bought European Bahn's East Coast Express part 1, which has a nice InterCity 225. However, while the arm of the Class 91's pantograph raises normally, the head stays down. Until you start moving, at which point the panto head starts moving up to the top of the raised arm, stops at the top, disappears, then moves up from the roof again, over and over, the animation going faster, the faster you move.
There's a bug report of a similar issue being fixed here... https://bugs.launchp...or/+bug/1187880
...and mention of what seems to be an edit of some sort to the model being needed, to fix similar issues.
Currently running latest OR X1.3.1-61, and ECE out of the box (as I can't find any patches). No such problems with pantos on other OHE loco.
Looks like a model edit may be needed but it's proprietary and have no source files. Any suggestions welcome.I do have another Class 91/IC225 set I could swap in but would obviously prefer to fix the one that comes with the add-on.
TIA!

One suggestion:
Make a back up first...
Then make a copy of the good shape file and rename it to replace the one with the panto problem.
Should it appear from the ace files that the texture map is the same - either rename the ace files of the bad file to match those of the good or
alternatively decompress the shape file, change the names of the textures and compress again.

Hi 33lima,
I can confirm your findings with the ECE Class 91; I am running a fully patched version of the route, but, as the problem doesn't occur in MSTS, no patch would have been issued.
A different Class 91, downloaded from UKTS (UKTS_24201 [in East Coast livery]), doesn't suffer from the same problem.
@Darwin : Isn't it likely that shape files from different sources won't be the same as each other and have textures mapped differently?
Cheers,
Ged
EDIT : UKTS_22545 contains three GNER liveried Class 91s; they are by the same author as the East Coast liveried version and their pantographs display correctly.
The BATS "Demoware" GNER Intercity 225 Train Set, available from trainsm.com ( batslmr1.zip ) also works correctly.

Thanks guys!
Copying over and renaming the good Class 91 .s file produced a loco with a fixed panto, but repainted in grey primer, windows, running gear and all...
However, while the EB IC225 isn't bad...
...the one from UKTrainsim.com, is better...
...so it looks like I'll be doing a lot of activity editing!

Hi 33lima,
I'm pleased to see you've found a suitable Class 91 :)
Once you've installed the 'new' loco, together with any required cabview and sounds, it's not absolutely necessary to edit the activities. You could replace the EB Class 91 in each consist with your selected loco, by either editing, using a program like NotePad or ConText, or using a consist editor/builder program.
Cheers,
Ged

Using a utility like Search and Replace ( or any of the other similar programs ) you can replace all instances of the old equipment with a new one -- in one easy step. In the attached image you'll see how....if I had entered a different file and folder name in the "Replace with:" line I could replace all 1406 instances of Dash9 Dash9 with whatever other locomotive I wished.
Using *.act;*.con in the File Mask, I searched both activities and consists, ( acts not shown in pic )...so the replacement does all activities and consists. The file mask section is easy to configure to eliminate or add certain folders or types in the search. Also does binary searches.
Same can be done for wagons. Very powerful utility...many other uses. Search and Replace >>> https://www.funduc.com/ Other that also are excellent ... Text Crawler Pro and Edit Rocket

Thanks guys. I'll need to replace the whole train (hate that word 'consist')as the coaches aren't really cross-compatible, due to the more photorealistic textures on the UKTS IC225. I haven't checked to see which cabview I prefer yet, but for sure I much prefer the classic BR Intercity 'Swallow' livery (and most of the BR schemes in fact, from the dull but efficient Brunswick Green and Maroon, through the smart Blue and Grey era, and the NSE/Regional Railways variants, to these more modern but scarcely more attractive efforts...
