Hi all,
i need help restoring default settings in OR.
Even with a complete reinstallation (and deletion of OpenRails folder in AppData) my settings are already set by the previous installation of OR.
How can i restore them completely as a first installation status?

Thanks
Alessio

settings are by default stored in registry under Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\OpenRails\ORTS , so quick fix would be to delete that registry key. But be careful ;)

If OR is actually uninstalled via Windows, is the registry cleared?

Part of the problem is that OR can be (re)installed or updated simply by copying the files into the program directory replacing all conflicts without touching the registry at all - Windows won't complain, and if the previous settings are OK it will run fine. Maybe there should be a button buried back among the Experimental items to restore all settings to default. You would, of course, have to re-enter all your content locations afterward, since those are probably in the registry too and would be wiped out by a total reset.

such feature could be even more helpful in combination with an Import/Export functionality for settings.
