With the proposed patch the lights of the detached loco are off if the loco becomes part (or is) a static consist, and get lit in all other cases. As it is in general for OR.

Thanks for the clarification.

I think that it would be nice to develop a more "realistic" operation. Such an operation might be to drop the uncoupled stock back to a "static" AI type consist whereby the lights stay on, and then provide a mechanism for the player to shut the locomotive down (ie change it to a traditional static consist) with the lights off?

Sadly, I suspect that this would be very difficult to develop in OR.

Thanks

Hi Peter,
what you propose is a feature which is not specific for the uncouple operation, but nore general: also at game start static consists could be with lights on (and with engine/panto on) or with lights off (and with engine/panto off). But this would be a new feature, or better said a new "TrainType" as it is called in the code.

Thanks for the feedback.

That is a shame, but then life is full of disappointments.

Thanks for you efforts on this.

The fix is now present in both the official OR and MG OR.
