I was on my way home during the afternoon commute when I heard of a 1 car ex-PE 600 series running around DURING commutes. Usually the NWP streetcar commutes are no less than 2 cars for each destination, winding up with 6-8 cars per trip. I made a quick detour out to the Mill Valley-San Rafael section of the line where this car was running an Eastbound (Northbound) trip to San Rafael.

Ahead of this 1 car stranger was the usual 6 car + RPO set.

-Frank C.

A spreader comes West (Compass South) from the Northern region of the NWP where snow has become a new norm during the winter. Not enough to really plow but enough to use the spreader to keep the rails clear. Further down the line, I caught a rare DODX move on the headend of the CLSC-M. After I caught that, I heard of a test train with various equipment coming out of Napa Jct., and headed for the NWP. I managed to catch it arriving in Schellville.

Been a while since I posted here, let alone actually ran anything!

Early morning and the NWP Westbound Sprinter (WLSA-M) rolls through Cloverdale. After making a pickup at the Cloverdale yard, the train reverses towards East Cloverdale crossing over 1-2 at CP Cloverdale so that it can drop 5 cars on the loading track off the depot main. This was done in a good time as there was a nice 30 minute lull between the morning commutes. After getting back on the move, the yard engine which was leading, ran into troubles as they crossed back over 1-2 at Asti. I was able to catch them here as they come to a stop between Asti and Chateau St. Jean...

I then ran down to Sausalito to see what I could find...Turns out the NWP3844 was yarding a train that came in from Schellville and points East. I caught them as they were shoving the last 10-15 cars into the clear. The crew then took the power and caboose to the house.

-Frank C.

A little "scenes without trains" action here...Two shots between the mid-evening commute rush, one at Cotati, CA., with the high level platform being setup for a Westbound train and then at Penngrove, CA., as a train enters the circuit around the corner.
