I stumbled upon this website while looking for recordings of a Nathan M5, and I was impressed.

http://trainweb.org/...9/hornworks.htm

This site features some high-qauility, crisp recordings of various multi-chimes, with little to no background noise, but in MP3 format.

And I want to ask this. I don't have the tools (No software that supports cue points), nor the expertise to make hornsounds at this moment. Could someone please make me a hornsound based on the static M5 recording? - http://trainweb.org/...199/MSeries.htm

Thank you.

I'm willing to take a shot at it, though it might be a bit. It beats what I usually get asked to do...I loathe K5LAs

I'm pretty sure NALW got some of their horns from that website, including the M5 and M3. That M3 recording brings back some of my fondest memories running SP PAs on the FBL.

It has been brought to my attention that the finished product was lost in the hack. So it will now be returned in all of its glory (?)

But, seriously thank you. I tried some of your other horns, and they're quite crisp, so I'll probably be pleased when I can try these out. I assume this is in 44100Hz?

Okay, I've had some time to test it, and it sounds nice, but there's a few issues.

1. There doesn't seem to be any looping in the interior sound file.
2. This is something of a quibble, but I can't get a really short blast like on your other horns.

Try this. The interior sound somehow lost its cue points. As to no short blasts...if I make the loop any longer, it'll sound terrible as the sound slowly changes through the clip. The blasts in the original audio are either way too feathered to be useful, or like this one, the sound changes through the horn blast

Dang... Well, thank you regardless. I like horns that I can quill, but I understand the limitations.

Applogies for the PM. That was uncalled for.

Am I just really bad at finding good recordings for horns?
