Highlights are mine.

Erick, I take it that's the reverse of MSTS, yes? Is so, surely the action to fix this is in the shaders and not our models.

OTOH if MSTS was the same... well... then your explanation is very valuable.

Funny thing, I can't remember! I know that the wheels on my MSTS stock don't look right in OR because I used high shine for the treads. These days I use low shine and it works fine.

Ideally, we'd just have specular maps. The diffuse channel would control the highlight colour, the alpha would control the sharpness. You could use the same map's alpha channel to control the intensity of reflection maps (think about it, anything smooth enough to produce a sharp highlight will be quite reflective).

Rather than start a new subject!

In the complete opposite, I need A1tPnt6dBRgt and A1tPnt6dBLft to shine. It looks so odd that every other track piece shines except these two!
I think it can be done by re-editing the shape file manually, but I cannot find the right combination to work 100%.

Any ideals?

Thanks

There are indeed differences per "A1t pieces".
I see via Shape file manager that "A1tpnt6DBlft" everything is set to "normal" (Texture modes), so "no shine".
This consists of 3 parts, so put tests "one by one" on 'Hi-Shine'.
I'm betting on the 'track' line, but I can't test it. (use other switches)

I can get only the animated "Switch Blades" to shine. The static rails and ballast share the same hierarchy. I believe a manual input in the shape file might be able to resolve this, as I did get some positive results, but it's finding the right combination!

Thanks
