From Peter's site I have used the following for rolling stock from the mid 20th century:

ORTSBrakeShoeFriction ( 0.0 0.50 8.0 0.288 16.1 0.241 24.1 0.211 32.2 0.187 40.2 0.173 48.3 0.161 56.3 0.150 64.4 0.142 72.2 0.139 80.5 0.134 88.5 0.129 96.6 0.125 104.6 0.123 112.7 0.121) Comment (* Cast Iron Brakeshoes *)

My question is how to change this for older stock that had wooden brake blocks.

Hello,

After do more Google search with better keywords:

It is more something like this i was looking: http://www.coalstone.../#maxbrakeforce

The website Coalstonewcastle is gold for Engineering for OpenRails :-)

Becauze i need the values for European trains (metric tonnes) a convertform like they have is very usefull.

I must just looking for the Coefficient of friction & NBR values, for get the realistic value's.

Locomotives in my country have in 3 brakeregimes (P, G, R ) specific max cylinderbrakevalues.

Greetz,

Stijn

P.S.

@Darwins last question, on same page there is a section about that.
