Hi Scott,
don't be sorry, I'm relieved that the issue seems having gone!

Hello!

A question from the total ignorance: would it be possible one day to have Lens Flare in Open Rails, in the style of Flight Simulator 2020?

Thank you very much...

Surely it would be an interesting topic.. also,
It would also be interesting that we could improve the concept of atmosphere, or sky with related weather phenomena ..
surely they would make a big difference, as well as for the fact of improving the rendering of the water ..

Hali. I want to ask if rain folder support has been moved to a newer release? A previously created temporary version is not available.

Sorry,
but I don't understand your question. Nothing has changed about raindrop files.

Hello,

I would like to know if the web server ORTS option will be renewed on ORMonoGame ?
I find this option very interesting, but I have never succeed to make it work under Openrails 1.31.
Is there a tutorial on this web server and how to use it?

Thanks & Rgds

Hi...

The web server works great with Carlos's Monogame New Years v88.

It's super simple to do.

Just enable in the ORTS [General Options] and connect to it via any port you assign. Suggest leaving it as the default 2150 unless you have some reason to change it.

Then open a web browser and connect to the page and port - device can be a smartphone, tablet, or PC that is on the same WiFi network as your machine running ORTS.

For Example: I'm using http://192.168.254.46:2150 on my remote device (iPad) to connect.

Where 192.168.254.46 is the IP of my PC running ORTS and 2150 is the port defined in the ORTS General Settings. Don't forget the [:] in between the two.

This feature is a HUGE game changer for me - thanks ORTS Developers !

Scott,I tried doing this with my IP with the:2120 and couldn't get it to work or load. I tried the manual, there was nothing about it.
Could you possibly do a step by step about the process. Thanks Benny

Hi Benny,

Sure.

Make sure you're running Carlo's V88 Monogame.

In ORTS [Options] [General] only be concerned with two fields as follows (remember the port):
  • Enable Webserver
  • Port Number

Now on your PC running ORTS - open a "cmd" Command Window - you can find it by opening [Start] bar and typing "cmd" in the search window.
  • In that command window TYPE: ipconfig
  • Note your IPv4 IP Address as shown in my screenshot.

Finally just open your web browser on your REMOTE device and type your previous information in the address field as shown - your IP will be different than mine. You may get a security warning message on your PC running ORTS - just allow.

Hi Benny,

Oh - last requirement - MAKE SURE your remote device is on your WiFi network with your PC running ORTS - - - you can't use your cell service.

Regards,
Scott
