Goku, when you can turn your attention to TSRE again please consider adding copy/paste direction to the list of other copy/paste functions in the properties window. There are times when I want to place an item parallel or perpendicular to a road or track but do not want the newly placed item to take the pitch that comes when you do copy/paste rotation.

Without the copy/paste direction function there is often little choice but to dive into the world file and hand edit the qdirection() field. That's easy enough to do when you understand what to do but I think most people would be reluctant to do it.

I second this. Placing things like signs and utility poles is much more difficult than it needs to be for this reason. A secondary thing would be tweaking the level crossing objects so they can be moved with these. Aligning them to roads (and themselves when crossings are made of several parts) is nearly impossible
