It's November 2, 1948, C-16 #268 departs Gunnison at 9:35 AM with 15 empties; this train is headed for Castleton (the section to Baldwin was pulled up a couple years earlier, but traffic is still there).

Crew: Conductor Anderson; & Engineer Braswell


The 15 empties are 14 gondolas & a caboose.

After a little while, the train pulls into Castleton at 11:15 AM.

After 1 hour 35 minutes switching, the train departs Castleton at 12:50 PM with 10 loads, 1 empty, & rolls downhill to Gunnison.

After rolling downhill, the train pulls into Gunnison at 1:45 PM with 10 loads 1 empty.
