Here is a quick and dirty solution that does not move the RPs in activity mode, when a signal is on the path there.
The files may be replaced in x.4334 or (I believe it works too) in the first git-based OR solution (X1.3.1-6etc).
Attachment Orts.Simulation_noRPmove.zip

On first run-through, which was from a "save" just before the problem area, the reverse points problems are resolved and I was able to complete the activity as designed. The problem of not being able to uncouple the brakevan alone was also resolved. Thank you.

I will later today run the activity again completely from the beginning.

I have now completed the activity from beginning to end with no problems.

I have now completed that second activity I reported problems with "NSP Ballast Train - Part 2", with no problems. Thank you both. Will this fix be included in an update to OR?

I'm quite convinced that the fix should be committed. Commits are temporarily blocked due to the switch to Git as source version control, but, David, you could start opening a bug report on this on Launchpad.

The correction has been introduced in the actual (unofficial) OR NewYear MG (see here http://www.elvastowe...post__p__244392 )

Thanks. but the activities are in a route which has been released as a download on UKTrainSim. There are notes in the documentation with the download that certain activities can only be run in MSTS. I cannot now suggest that these persons who use Open Rails should change to using the unofficial NewYear MG version of Open Rails.

Sorry David, I overlooked it. I have asked for the bug patch commit.

I am confused by the new system. Has this been committed yet?
