Camera View Origin Underground

From memory, I thought the the issue where the point of origin of a camera view can very easily be moved underground, has been resolved. Apparently not so, it can still easily be done. Has there been any more action or discussion on this?

I thought the "underground" fix applied to camera 4, the others still allow free movement "underground" -- there may be other exceptions I'm not aware of. Honestly, the underground view is of little bother to me. i enjoy the freedom of camera movement.

Can something please be done about the sittuation where the view shoen(sic) on the attached is inadvertantly activated by scrolling too far down.
Absolutely! Simply press Ctrl+8 to reset the camera view or press a different camera view button or press the up arrow key.
Camera views and their controls are in the F1 Help section while in the Sim and are detailed in the searchable OR Manual.
I find the underground very handy if you are looking for some detail information on the F5 HUD screens.
I go underground and then tilt the camera down so I'm looking at the Black Disk and any displayed HUD is clearly visible.
I would not be able to read this information without the under ground 'feature.
I 'go underground' to read detailed info from the Dispatcher HUD screen.
I challenge anyone to attempt to read this against a moving scenery background! No problem reading with the black disk as a background.
Developers, I urge you please leave the current camera views just as they are.
If it ain't broke, don't fix it. Four yeas running OR now sez this ain't broke.
regards,
vince

Recent posts on this thread appear to have been lost with the recent forum problems. What appeared to have been as method of correcting this issue was proposed. Has there been any action on the implementation of this?
