Open Rails 1.3E using MonoGame 3.7 as graphics engine is now available and can be downloaded from here
http://www.interazio.../OR_1.3E_MG.zip
This package is available "as is" and ready-to-run, and has not undergone the severe tests of the official OR 1.3 standard version.
It is based on the standard OR 1.3, which has been adapted to run under MonoGame.
The "E" after 1.3 means that some additions/changes have been introduced, that aren't present in the OR 1.3 standard version.
They are:
- HUD scroll (provided by mbm_OR)
- sound debug window with track sound added (provided by dennisat)
- changed font for digital displays of 2D cabs (provided by me).
The MG specific version, which has been developed starting from the vast pioneer work of Peter Gulyas (gpz) includes also many important patches by dennisat, which contributed also to testing. Through Dennis also a patch suggested by perpetualkid was included.
You are invited to read the full readmes which are present in the program's directory.
Please keep this package separate from the official OR 1.3 standard version.
The development kit (which is of interest only for people wanting to fiddle with the source code) may be downloaded here

Peter Gulyas hasn't been active in the project for some time now but he does stop by now and then. A nice guy... wish he'd participate in the project again.

Dennis has sent me the corrected ParticleEmitterShader.fx file. I have already updated the files in the download link.
People that already downloaded the pack may simply overwrite ParticleEmitterShader.fx (which is in the Content subfolder) with the attached one, after having unzipped it.
ParticleEmitterShader.zip (2.34K)
Number of downloads: 490

Will the Monogame version work in Linux directly, or does it need Wine? Or ... any other advice? My laptop is usually used with Linux Mint now. Have PlayOnLinux installed, but have had difficulty getting Wine to work.
