It's May 9, 1935, K-27 #475 departs Durango at 9:50 AM with 5 cars.

Crew: Conductor Pollard; & Engineer Fitzer (to Chama); along with Conductor Duxstadt and brakeman Bruce*.


Consist:

Caboose 0579 (deadheaded to Alamosa); RPO 65 Baggae 164; coach 297; & parlor car Pagosa.

* these 2 people are deadheading to Chama to protect a CCC special.

After a while, the train pulls into Chama at 2:58 PM; we pick up the run as the train departs Chama at 3:10 PM; soon, the train rolls through the narrows.

The train crosses the trestle at Lobato as it climbs the hill to Cumbres.

After rounding Windy Point, the train arrives at Cumbres at 3:58 PM.

The San Juan departs Cumbres at 4:02 PM, & in a little while, passes the tank at Los Pinos, followed by crossing the bridge at the same location(over the Rio De Los Pinos River).
