Hi all!
Been wondering...did anyone try to make such thing in OR?
Basic Train Washer
Basic Train Washer 2
Apparently it wouldn't be hard to animate a roller but i wonder how to start/stop it on your command.
I thought of a similar way like how hazards work, depending on the loco horn/whistle.
Just curious to find out if there is a way to achieve this.
Thank you! :)

Probably a level crossing-style object. If you silence the bell sound, the proximity activation would work well for a washer

There is one included with the Surfliner 2 (and 2.2) route. I don't recall how specifically it's setup, but does run on a loop.

Good news
Thank you for the confirmation.
I've herd about the Surfliner route but never took a chance to look for it to try it out. Is it by any chance freeware? If so, where it can be downloaded to have a look for myself.

The freeware is available in the file library at Trainsim. Search "routes".

A level crossing object can run continuously by entering a negative value in the animation length. -0.0333 plays at normal speed continuously
