Hi
How do i make the train brake in notches like the throttle? 10%,20%,30%,40%,50%,60%,75%,85%,100%.Main reason is that i want to achieve lapped braking.
Any solutions?
Brake_Train ( 0 1 0.075 0
NumNotches ( 6
Notch ( 0 0 TrainBrakesControllerFullQuickReleaseStart )
Notch ( 0.1 0 TrainBrakesControllerReleaseStart )
Notch ( 0.2 0 TrainBrakesControllerNeutralhandleOffStart )
Notch ( 0.3 1 TrainBrakesControllerGraduatedSelfLapLimitedHoldingStart )
Notch ( 0.9 0 TrainBrakesControllerContinuousServiceStart )
Notch ( 1.0 0 TrainBrakesControllerEmergencyStart )

Thanks

It's been awhile, but I believe this can only be achieved with the brake type as EP. You can try it on ASP or ATP and see what happens.

This is my HST notch brake handle with self-lapping :
Brake_Train ( 0 1.0 0.025 0.85
			NumNotches ( 8
		        Notch ( 0     0 TrainBrakesControllerReleaseStart )
			Notch ( 0.30 0 TrainBrakesControllerEPApplyStart )
                        Notch ( 0.39 0 TrainBrakesControllerEPApplyStart )
                        Notch ( 0.53 0 TrainBrakesControllerEPApplyStart )
                        Notch ( 0.68 0 TrainBrakesControllerEPApplyStart )
                        Notch ( 0.85 0 TrainBrakesControllerEPApplyStart )
                        Notch ( 0.90 0 TrainBrakesControllerContinuousServiceStart )
                        Notch ( 1.0   0 TrainBrakesControllerEmergencyStart )
			)
		)

You need to adjust the notch values to your needs.

With notched brakes that have many positions, i found the detent only applies with the keyboard. With the mouse, you can miss a few.
Unsure how TS2018 manages to solve this when using the mouse?.

Thanks

That's an impressive set-up. Looks like you are using a real straight air brake and train brake?

As you don't use the keyboard or mouse for the train brake, does the latter have detents as well?

Thanks

All devices are functional in Open Rails, including the train brake and are connected to the computer!In the next period I will make a demonstrative video.

This is impressive.

Can I ask how you get the control positions into and the instrument data out of Open Rails, please?

Thanks,
