It's summertime in the early 1960's, the Western Star departs Whitefish at 1:55 PM as it begins the run to Havre; the train stops in Columbia Falls, rolls through Conkelly, & rolls across the bridge just west of Citadel (Croam).

The train stops at Belton & gets underway again. Belton is a stop for the Western Star in the summertime only, along with Glacier Park.

The train rolls through Essex, & begins climbing the 1.8% grade.

After cresting the summit, the train pulls up to the station at Glacier Park; since it's summertime, the train stops here- per the schedule.

The train rolls across the bridge east of Glacier Park, stops at Browning, & begins rolling down the double track (which runs from Blackfoot to just west of Cutbank).

After rolling across the bridge, the train stops at Cutbank.

After leaving Cutbank, the train makes it's next regular stop at Shelby.

After leaving Shelby, the train begins the 104 mile leg to the next stop: Havre.

After rolling through several more towns, the Western Star pulls into Havre at 8 PM. Epilogue: the train puls into Chicago Union Station at 9:55 PM the following day.
