[Railroad Librarian]

I had the pleasure of riding the Grand Canyon Railway some years ago - with steam at the head end - and have always wanted a set of cars for the game. I only ever found one set (by Bob Wirth in 2011) and it needed a lot of love. So, after collecting hundreds of images in recent years (and I also finally got the Pentrex video on the train and its operations) and am finally taking a stab at this project at last.

I'm using the TrainArtisan/Gaetan set of cars as my starting point upon which to apply my painting talents. Keep in mind, I'm not aiming to make an exact car-for-car set, just a close proximity that visually are pleasing and reflect the two eras for which I have enough information.

Here's a couple of test shots from last night's efforts. I think I've made a decent start.

This would be great. We took the kids on the steamers back in about '85. Would love to add these!

Well, it's been two years and I'm only now getting back to this project.

In the intervening years I've learned some new techniques and I'm hoping I can do a little better job.

Anyway, here's tonight's efforts. Not yet a final commitment but thought I'd see how things looked with new colors etc.
