Hi Goku,

I'm installing speed posts along the North East Corridor portion ( NY to Washington ) of the PRR East Region Route.
Not a problem if I allow the default setting of 'BOTH' for the Speed Post.
However, if I set the Speed Post for Passenger Only the speed post looks OK in the Open Rails Track Viewer but in Open Rails it shows as Kilometers per Hour.
Could you please take a look at this?

regards,
vince

Vince,

56mph is 90kph. Has the limit somehow been set in Kilometres but is displaying as miles?

Vince,

Are you sure it's showing 56km/h? From the look of the track monitor, it would seem to be showing 56mph, which would suggest the speedpost is stuck on km/h units. If it is showing 56km/h (35mph) then it's not only being converted, but is then getting the wrong unit assigned to it. That would be a whopper of a bug...

Sorry, I wasn't clear. The pictures spesk for themselves. Display is 56. That just happens to be 90 kmh.
The speedpost in question is set to 90 MPH passenger only. That's only when this happens.
The Sim Track Monitor is displaying 56 MPH. The OR TrackViewer displays 90 as it should.
The Sim is reading kilometers for whatever reason. The difference is the post is set for Passenger Only. That's when it goes wacko.
If the Speedpost is set to 90 for BOTH (pass & freight) it displays correctly in the Sim AND Trackview.

I have no idea where the bug may lie. Sim not correctly reading a passenger only speedpost if it is set to passenger only or . . . . .?

For the meantime, I'm setting all speedposts to the default "BOTH" setting as that does work correctly.

Regards,
vince

I have tested on my Testroute and not found a bug.
Are you sure, you have select in the TSRE5 "MILES" ?
If You have selected here Kilometers, OR will calculate the number down to Miles for your Route.

The Trackviewer shows only the stored number but not the unit.
Can you upload the entry in the *.tdb?

In my Testroute I find for 90 Miles, Passenger only:
TrItemTable ( 1
SpeedPostItem (
TrItemId ( 0 )
TrItemSData ( 25.3398 00000006 )
TrItemPData ( -281.267 -36.898098 -5862 14836 )
TrItemRData ( -281.267 0.96238685 -36.898098 -5862 14836 )
SpeedpostTrItemData ( 290 90 -1.5708002 )
)
