I had this message ( : Sorry Track viewer cannot load this route) with the lasts releases of TSRE5. However all the standard files (.rdb, .tdb, etc) ar present and unicode registered.
Am I alone to encounter this problem? It is the same with a new ROUTE.

A little more information would be helpful to diagnose your problem. What route (name, etc) are you getting this error when trying to load? Where might others download the route to test if they experience the same problem?
Thanks

More information. It's possible indeed... But....
I make a new route with TSRE5 and a Tsection dat release 38.
I have no more MSTS and I cannot try with MSTS.
I put an A2t250m.str upon the ground tile. I leave. And.....
When I try to open this route with TrackViewer, I have this error message. Sorry Track viewer cannot load this route
Perhaps an explanation about the error would be usefull...
My (sys is Windows 10 64b. )

So it seems you have a very minimalistic route. So possibly some files that are needed for TrackViewer are not present (yet). Or possibly TrackViewer expects things in one of those files that are just not there (yet). Possibly there are no TrackItems in the .tdb file.
Possibly you are facing the same issue as in http://www.elvastower.com/forums/index.php?/topic/29022-or-track-viewer-failing-to-load-route/ . That particular issue was solved though. Which version of OpenRails are you using?

I will admit that TrackViewer does not do a very good job in nreporting why exactly it cannot load a route. Partly because there could be so many things wrong in the sense that also the simulator is not able to load it. Partly because initially it was just easier to catch all errors and just report that it could not load the route without further explanation.

There is a new tool, in development, that might be of use in figuring out what is wrong. It is called ContentChecker.exe (which should be in the Program directory). There is some documentation in the Source/Documentation directory. You migth try that and see if something pops up. Obviously you would need the development code for that.

If that does not work, you can either post a few files needed for TrackViewer here or via a PM to me so I can debug further. I think the main files are the .trk and the .tdb files. Which both should be real small if I understood correctly what you did.
Jeroen.
