Hi Goku,
Hope you're doing well.
As I recall you mentioning editing a track vector is okay if all interactives are removed from that vector only.

+ I was thinking of an editor tool that could be used to set a temporary junction node, aka a switch or turnout.
Place the TSRE pointer at exact position an a phony but logically operational JunctionNode that would function to isolate single or multiple vectors in order to make track changes between the two temporary JnNodes.
It'd be nice because sometimes there are several miles or more between junction nodes. A prime example (and cause of much grief) is the default MSTS Marias Pass (USA2) route.
But broken couplers aside imagine, having to remove 10 miles worth of interactives just to install a single turnout! oy vey.

So that's the case I make for a RedPoleTool. http://www.elvastower.com/forums/public/style_emoticons/default/bigboss.gif

It'd need two requirements, a. Install a logically functional JnNode (A Red Pole) and b, The route must function normally if a user inadvertently leaves one or more of these 'RedPoleTools installed.
It should do no harm more than make activities that use the vectors that are, lets say 'pinned' will fail.

At the same time you're thinking about this proposal, something along the same line would be very useful if a route builder / fixer / modder were able to click in the displayed Node number, be it a Orphan Blue, Red Pole or an Orphan TDB fragment, two blue poles joined by a yellow TDB line but no track shape.
Got a bunch of these in the PRR but no easy way to select them. Joy if you could figure a way.
Thanks for the work you've done on TSRE.
