Hello community, I'm just wondering if the "Event Editor: play sound from file" feature is working or is still under development inside the TSRE5 Activity Editor. I've tried so many ways to put an external audio file in it but is still not working.

Since the Sound File is a text field, any ideas on how to put an external audio file in it? Should I put the path of the file or just the name of the audio to reproduce under the simulation?

Regards

You enter the wav file name.

Thanks for the reply Goku. So, can I put only the name of the file in there? The file must be inside a specific folder of the Route or everywhere I want?
Can I also use mp3 file as wel?

OR supports only wav files. The file must be in route/sound directory.

Ok, but I've tried so many ways and still is not working. I've renamed the file, with and without special characters, but nothing.
Here a screenshot of the Event editor:

Read the TSRE AE guide.

Quote

Enter activation time of the event relative from activity beginning.

And your event starts after 9 hours from activity start.

Oh I see my fault! Ok I will fix that, thanks Goku.

Just a question, probably it something useful to be implemented inside the TSRE5 if it doesn't exist at the moment. Is that possible to mix inside the AE the Time and the Place events?
For example: I want that a specific sound will be played at a specific time but in a specific place.

I do believe that at the moment is not possible to realize that, but in case it is, how can I create something like this?

Create time event and add outcome -> activate event and select your location event with the sound.
I don't know how it will work in OR. Maybe it must be done a little different.

Thanks Goku, I solved the issue and is actually working by creating an event that trigger another event! Great!
