1. Is there a possibility to limit the movement with "Page up" Page down" keys so that the headposition can't leave the cabin?

2. I have built a showglass for the boiler water gauge with an animated water prism with a low point near the bottom of the showglass and the max point near the top. The animation works well in 3DCrafter but I can't get it to show it in the sim. It's not clear to me how to define the watercolumn in the cvf file. Is it a gauge, a dial ? what means "style SOLID or LIQUID" in the sim?

Did you ever get an answer to your question?

I have just made a water gauge myself and these were the settings in the CVF file that worked for me.
Gauge (
Type ( BOILER_WATER GAUGE )
Position ( 245 287 18 48 )
Graphic ( )
Style ( POINTER )
ScaleRange ( 0 1 )
ZeroPos ( 1 )
PositiveColour ( 1
ControlColour ( 0 0 0 )
)
NegativeColour ( 0 )
Orientation ( 1 )
DirIncrease ( 0 )
Units ( GALLONS )
)

I am pretty sure that most of these parameters are not needed for a 3D cab control, but I don't know for sure which I could delete. The Water gauge animated part is named BOILER_WATER:0:0 in the s file. I have 6 moving parts to my gauge, and so they are named 0:0 to 0:5 .

Finally an answer, at least to one of my questions. Thank you for that. My entries in the cvf file are very similar, but the watercolumn doesn't move a little bit. What kind of parts did you animate and how?
Some ideas for my first question?

Here is a picture of my water gauge. The moving parts are the water column in the centre. This is animated to move vertically in steps of 12mm, and there are 16 steps. The length of the column means that it would appear above and below the gauge housing at the full and empty positions, so I made it up in 6 parts, which all move together, but slide into each other at the ends, like a telescope.

I don't have any answer for how to limit the head position.

Thanks, that seems like a good idea. I'll try it.
