I have made a new activity in one of my routes, and now ORTS crashes at exactly the same spot with following error message:

System.ArgumentOutOfRangeException: Index was out of range. Must be non-negative and less than the size of the collection.
Parameter name: index
at System.ThrowHelper.ThrowArgumentOutOfRangeException(ExceptionArgument argument, ExceptionResource resource)
at System.ThrowHelper.ThrowArgumentOutOfRangeException0
at System.Collections.Generic.List* 1.get.Item(Int32 index)
at ORTS.Viewer3D.TrackSoundSource.UpdateTType(Bolean stateChange)
at ORTS.Viewer3D.TrackSoundSource.Update0
at ORTS.Viewer3D.Processes.SoundProcess.Sound0
at ORTS.Viewer3D.Processes.SoundProcessDoSound0

can anybody help? (please)

It might be better known if you attach the log, so they could diagnose the issue.

Waiting for your logfile, maybe you are still using stable release 1.2.3766? Try using the latest experimental release, which solves at least one case where such crash occurs.

Now I am running x3989 but problem is the same.
I do not seem to be able to make a logfile. Can you please tell me what to tick in the Data logger options.

You must only have the "Logging" checkbox checked in the main menu window. You will find the OpenrailsLog.txt file on your desktop.
You may attach here a zipped version of it.

There is a problem with track sounds/sound regions at that point of the route. Maybe there is a SoundRegion there that does not have a value within the range of ttype.dat, or there is a problem within ttype.dat.

You should first check that all files defined within ttype.dat are effectively existing, and if yes, you should check with a route editor (MSTS or TSRE5) what SoundRegion is defined in the crash point and if that SoundRegion number is a number that is within the range of ttype.dat.

Problem solved. It was a missing file according to ttype.dat. I found it and everything is ok.
Thank you so much for your help.
