Hello everyone, the very good news is that MonoGame OR 3.6 works with ReShade! Finally, you can create a completely realistic look of the simulator.

Here's a sample:

wow!
It seems like monogame has a number of advantages but we really need someone with expertise to implement.

I don't know much about graphics and I had no idea that ReShade existed.

Instant improvements with no great hit on the FPS - sounds too good to be true :-)

That looks out very good! Before trying this I have only one question. How can I disable reshade, once done the tests?

On deactivation, simply move / delete the dxgi.dll file in the OpenRails directory.

I don't like the reshade effect. Maybe it looks like real world, but recorded using 15 year old feature phone.

Hm, way too much contrast. It looks like they were going for a bleach bypass effect. Tone the effect way down and it'd probably look good.

A quick pass by the reshade website suggests one can make settings specific for open rails that presumably could improve things.

That would be really neat, while I think the effect in the shots is a bit much, it looks like it has real potential.

It's not the software that makes that older content look bad, its the resolution at which you view them. When we all are using UHD monitors it will all look even worse.
