Hello,

I am just introducing myself to TSRE. I have found that I can not place UKFS track pieces. If I go to a route with default track then all the track pieces are on the menu. If I open a route with UKFS track (or in this case a new route where I wish to use this track)
Then ukf appears in the appropriate bar, which appears organge. No track sections show up on the menu. (Only dynamic track.)

Tried the same routes with the MSTS route editor and all ukfs pieces show up and can be placed.

Does anyone have ideas how to fix this so that I can start laying tracks.

Do you use the same GLOBAL for TSRE as for MSTS?
Set in settings.txt
ignoreMissingGlobalShapes = true
to
ignoreMissingGlobalShapes = false
And you should see all tsection.dat entries.

Problem solved thanks.

(As well as the ukfs shapes which are in the Global folder, I also got all of the default shapes which were not in the Global folder. Presumably everything on the t-section now shows up. Not a big problem though as the drop down menu makes it easy to choose the pieces needed and ignore all the others.)

Then that is weird why TSRE thinks that these shapes are not awailable.
Are these shapes by default in Xtracks, or do I need to download them? Link?

Hi Goku,
UKFineScale uses completely differently named shape files.
It may be downloaded from : http://www.activitys...K_FineScale.htm

It may also be downloaded from UKTS, but the installer in that download will ONLY unpack into a default MSTS installation (as defined by the Registry) and cannot be changed!

While on the subject of tracks, does TSRE recognise the Via Metrica track system? It may be downloaded from : http://www.trensim.c...ct=view&id=1059

I see ukfs shapes with this option enabled too.
ignoreMissingGlobalShapes = true
So, don't know what might be wrong for you.

Can you send me your tsection.dat?
